isa yan sa mga gusto kong makita sa boracay... walanghiya di pa ko nakakapunta dun, inalis na nila ung ganun... bwisit... kainis!!! ano kayang problema ng local govt dun, bkt ayaw nilang pagawa ng sand castle eh isa un sa mga nagpapa-attract sa mga tourists, taz super ganda tingnan sa picture.. as in di kumpleto ang trip sa boracay kung wala kang picture ng sand castle, parang signature na un ng boracay tapos inalis nila...hay naku...

i don't know nor am i interested to know what their reason for prohibiting it... pro kung nag-a-alala sila sa buhangin ng boracay at pag-proliferate ng mga taong gumagawa, then bakit di sila mag-talaga ng isang official sand-castle maker (lolz only in the philippines) as in ISANG TAO lng, tapos lahat dun na magpapagawa, isa or maybe 5 na government-appointed sand castle makers (kc baka may pila un kung isa lng)...at least dun kikita din gobyerno nun, kc ung ibabayad dun sa gagawa, may parte sila, im sure kung hindi taxable un, makakagawa sila ng pangalan para dun at ng magkaroon ang govt ng parte sa kita...

kainis, un talaga ung isa sa mga gusto ko sa boracay, mag pagawa ng sarili kong sand castle taz lagay ko name ko at ng mama ko, taz picture kami... hay na=iimagine ko na, balak pa lng naman... ngyn di na pwede... cno bang mayor dun or governor... bkit di sila makaisip ng magandang solusyon sa nakikita nilang problema sa sand castle.... imbes na pagbawalan at limitahan ang pagiging natural na artist ng mga pinoy, bkit di sila mag-contest para sa lahat ng gustong gumawa ng castle, tapos ung top 5 na maganda eh di un ung magiging official na sand castle makers tapos pwde na nilang hulihin lahat ng mag-try na gawing profit ung sand castle maliban lng dun sa lima... hindi ba win-win situation un...

pro syempre siguro di maiiwasan na mapulitika din kung mag=contest at baka maging lutong makaw at kung sino lng gustong ipapanalo eh un ung mananalo... bahala sila dun,, basta sana as in sana lng talaga makapag pa picture kami ng mama ko sa isang malaki at sobrang gandang sand castle pagpunta namin dun sa boracay...

it is predicted that with all the overspending the us government is doing, bail outs, wars, there is going to be a financial meltdown that's going to be greater than the great depression....... the middle class may be wiped out and only two classes will remain.... very rich or very poor..... but that's not absolute.... let's see what's going to happen in the next few months......

here in our country, there have been lots of "natural" disasters been happening lately. Lots of people were driven from their homes, now they have nowhere to go but to evacuation centers and rely on the government and foreign aide to survive.

Subscribe to their newsletter if you care about what's happening or going to happen in the future and how the governments seem to be trying to suppress PROGRESS.

They really want to implement laws that limit the users to just being a follower to whatever they want the user to do and not use his/her own mind to innovate on products or make his/her own choices about anything involving the INTERNET.

I guess some governments are so frustrated that they cannot yet control what seems to them is a new tool to be used in their propaganda. Maybe the USA government is envious of China or other communist governments because communists can just do whatever they want in their citizen's internet rights and the usa wants to do the same. why don't they just outright declare martial law on their country and become the modern nazi germany. or maybe they are planning it already lolz. just great, once that happens to them, we are next.

Now, the obama administration is going to have a cyber czar, it's a better one than the rockefeller-Snowe Cybersecurity Act. but i smell something fishy with it. EFF can agree with it because it is a good bill, but once it's approved, citizens there and anyone who cares about their internet rights, should be vigilant in guarding that bill/law because once it is passed, they can AMMEND it anytime and turn it into the rockefeller-Snowe Cybersecurity Act. (you know just like what they did when they passed some laws concerning federal reserve)

I love the internet. I don't know how many times I have said that. Some of the people I talk to offline seem to not understand my fascination with it. When I'm in front of the computer, you really should not interrupt me :) Cliche as this may sound, I listed the.....

2. I don't have to rely to mainstream media to tell me what I can talk about with other people
3. I don't have to endure listening to people who don't even know what they are talking about
4. I can go directly to the source (the website of my favorite artist, favorite author, favorite anything)
5. I can be (chat/watch) in a webinar of someone across the globe real time

Of course, there are people that can make the internet BAD. An example would be what happened in Korea where the group of suicidal people got together online and made plans of what they're going to do offline or the never ending adult websites anywhere, who makes those decisions? who own those websites? PEOPLE. So, the internet is not bad, it's the people who use it. YOU are still responsible for your actions. BLAME or EXCUSE is really for someone who is not emotionally mature.

Here's an articulate way of explaining the INTERNET to those companies or corporations that don't seem to understand the Internet system.

I watched a video of Dan Hannan where he articulately explained the Internet. Daniel Hannan, one of the Members of Parliament in the UK is the new Political Youtube Sensation. I really like the way he understands the internet, it's now the consumers who control what or who they want to watch, listen to or read about. we do not have to depend on mainstream media to get the info, and best of all, we do not have to listen to opinions of some stupid tv news anchor or show hosts to tell us what or how to think. power to the people! :)

My favorite site at the moment. A lot of people are oblivious to this, but there is a war going on between the internet user and some of the legislations that their government is passing. They don't know that they should get involved now or they will be the next who's rights is going to be violated/abused in the name of National Security or Copyright law.

There are cases right now in the U.S. and maybe elsewhere (not sure here in our country, wla pa namang balita) that bloggers/internet users's laptops, computers or gadgets were confiscated without warrants. Just search the yahoo/msn/google/scour for those kinds of news and you'll find them written by independent media (not mainstream).

I am supporting Electronic Frontier Foundation because they UNDERSTAND technology, digital/online rights and PROGRESS which I think some governments lack understanding of. IMHO, they should understand that when a person/internet user sees something good/amazing/funny/sad/whatever video or article, the next thing he/she wants to do is to share it with everyone they know. Peer-to-peer sharing is the next step in this fast-paced entertainment industry. I have understood the phases that the music and movie industry has gone through in just 2 decades - tape (casette,vhs,betamax), cd/dvd, mp3 and nowwwwwwwww file sharing. That's the next step and it's inevitable.

I don't know why the entertainment industry have not thought of a way to profit from file sharing coz I mean, it's already FREE advertising for them and then they are going to choke the internet users with copyright law? (I will discuss this more in another blogposts)

For now, I just want to say that I hope Peter Eckersley share the doctoral research that he's doing, because I'm interested in it. His bio states => His doctoral research focused on the practicality and desirability of using "virtual market" public funding systems to legalize P2P file sharing and similar distribution tools while still paying authors and artists for their work. The entertainment industry should have already used the internet, file sharing years ago to receive more profits instead of limiting the technology. It seems like they are still doing their business in the stone age way (ok, im exaggerating but really lolz) and not the millennium way. They have lots of smart people in their staffs right, well then why didn't they think of using file sharing to make a profit?

Even the celebrities/music artists, don't have a grasp of technology and seem to think it's bad, i think they are just technology/internet-illiterate. That's why I'm also interested to know how could artists/celebrities profit or receive their royalties with P2P. coz file sharing is free so I have no idea how they could profit from it except they will have advertisements to a larger audience (the world) in just a few seconds instead of waiting for months to get their stuff to other countries (as is the system now). So, what Mr. Eckersley stated as "virtual market" public funding systems is a great really really great idea.

Genetically Engineered Organisms

I am not a fan of miriam but I admire her foresight with the bill that she wants to pass to protect our local farmers. The GEO is here and it may drastically affect the crops or may be profits of the farmers here in our country. I'm not so sure why they actually allowed the shipment of these genetically engineered products since in the United Kingdom, they were banned. I mean there must be a reason why these products were banned and then we are going to use it here?

I don't know much about this, I might research more, but I'm just glad that there will be a law that will look out for the farmers and have those biotech companies liable for any damages. However, I don't really agree that there should be a patent to seeds. Have you heard of something like that? akala ko intellectual properties lang or yung mga inventions lang ang na-p-patent, pati na pala mga seeds? neways, who would want to eat genetically altered seeds? baka mamya ano pang chemical ang meron dun. Well, unless may maipakita silang proof na they did some testing and it did not have any bad effects on the human cells.

Charter Change

Well, there was a news article stating that Villafuerte have backed out of proposing the charter change again, which IMHO is good because maybe he realized they won't get anywhere until the 2010 elections is over. So, if anyone wants to go ahead with the chacha, then wait until after the elections. Nograles should stop pushing it already.

But, then again, if Nograles stop, I would be wary still because it's not only with chacha that they can inflict change and affect the lives of the Filipinos. They can do this by passing legislations that the citizens of this country are not even aware about. I just looked at some of the bills in the senate's website and yeah there are some bills there that I'm not even aware of. So, I am a little afraid that if the media and the citizens are not actively policing the senate and especially the congress, then there will be bills that will be passed and we will not be aware of it. I am concerned on all legislations especially when I am afraid that the government wants to take on a dictatorial stand.

Buti na lang at di napasa yung Right of Reply bill. Buti na lang at may power pa ang media. Dati di ko gusto ang power ng media dahil they can spin any news their way. Pero parang mas gusto ko ng merong power ang 2 entities kesa iisa lang ang may power to direct this country. I think God still loves this country, kasi meron pa ring opposition, two powers in the government, administration and opposition. Of course, they are not acting on their own, baka meron silang mga sponsors behind the scenes di ba at buti na lang hindi lang iisa ang sponsors nila, di tulad ng sa usa.

I can't believe that I said that ha, kc ayoko talga sa opposition dahil hindi naman din sila gumagalaw for the people, some of them just pretend that they are for the poor filipinos when they have millions of pesos in properties/assets. kapag nakita ko ang mga tao sa pulitika na namimigay ng lupa sa mga farmers, then maybe, maybe I will believe that they are for the people. Neways, iisa lang ang gusto ko ngayon sa opposition and that is Mar Roxas. IMHO, he seems intelligent and genuine in caring for the rights of the people and I saw how he wants to create a legislation that will avoid corruption, but then some senators just kept on debating trivial things because they know that when there is a REAL legislation against corruption, you know the checking of all expenses and such, then they wouldn't have a chance to get money that are not intended for them. Sa administration naman ngyn, ang gusto ko lng is Anggara and Zubiri. I know that maybe they are just pawns, pero at least merong legislation si Zubiri that tackles the environment, which is for me is very very important.

Yung right of reply bill, iisang bill lang yan out of the hundred bills which were already passed or currently on the works now sa senate and congress. kung hindi na-involve yung media dun sa bill na yun (right of reply), i doubt we would even hear of it in the news. so i guess, my hobby for the succeeding months is to browse the senate and congress website everyday lolz.

I hope that they won't pass any bill that would allow for the 100% ownership of lands by foreigners because we, the citizens, might end up being squatters in our country.

I didn't hear about him on the international news of our local channels. These local channels get their news from the mainstream media of the USA.

I heard about him when a person I'm following on twitter mentioned him on one of his tweets. He mentioned that Ron Paul talks much sense about Finance than most politicians in their country. I followed the video link and saw that he does know what he's talking about. Then I got hooked. I searched for his videos and all the talks or speeches he gave.

I don't know if CNN, FOX, CBS or any mainstream media is featuring him on the news nowadays. I don't watch those channels in cable anymore. I see lots of stupid/ignorant hosts there, not all of them, but most of them, watch their programs and see if you can spot those hosts. I don't want to always waste my time on them, but maybe sometimes I might spend a few minutes just to see what news they are spinning now. Neways, what I want to say is that I hope that the bill that Ron Paul have submitted to the congress would be passed. Bill HR 1207

He submitted a bill that would allow the US Government to AUDIT the Federal Reserve. The Fed Reserve is the only, THE ONLY, private institution that has never been audited. I call that POWER. Imagine being more powerful than the government, than the citizens of that country. Imagine being able to say to your government - "no you can't audit me because I don't want to."

Since I'm not watching the mainstream media anymore, I found some sites that are independent medias in the USA and those people report the news as they see it and I think they are not censored by their supervisors or company owners or whatever.

Since, I think that the governments of some of the nations in the world would like to control the INTERNET by being a big brother (being able to control what websites the people in their country can and cannot see, reading e-mails without warrants, etc.)
